Lady Bird (2017)

The movie is a comedy-drama film directed and written by Greta Gerwig. The film was set in the Sacramento, California and it is the coming-of-age tale of Ronan, the highschool senior and her turbulent connection with Metcalf her mother.

The Story Line:

Christine McPherson, the "Lady Bird", is one senior student in 2002, at the Catholic high school located in the suburbs of Sacramento. She lives there with her parents and her adopted older brother with his girlfriend. Lady Bird is the best friend of Julie Steffans. They joined in the school's program for theatre where Lady Bird encounters the young guy known as Danny O'Neill. The two develop a romantic connection and this leads to Lady Bird to join Danny's family during their Thanksgiving dinner, instead of celebrating the same occasion with her family. The relationship was then broken when suddenly Lady Bird discovers Danny creates something in the bathroom stall with a boy. At the request of her mother, she (Lady Bird) takes a menial work in one coffee shop, and there she me the edgy musician known as Kyle Scheible. Kyle and Lady Bird started a romantic connection and she begins to glide away from Julie and approved a friendship with the famous girl named as Jenna Walton.

Right after Jenna warned by a nun teacher Sis. Sarah Joan for constant wearing of a short skirt, Jenna bonded with Lady Bird through the harmless vandalizing of Joan's auto. Lady Bird told Jenna that she stays at an address that really belongs to the grandmother of Danny. Lady Bird goes out from the theatre course; and then later deal with Danny outside of a coffee stall, where she comforts him right after he expressed the struggle to go out. She gave her virginity and innocence to Kyle after Kyle falsely referred to him being a virgin, and leads her to discover consolation with her mother. Jenna discovered that Lady Bird was lying regarding her address, which significantly ended the friendship. Lady Bird was informed about her father losing his job, and discovered that he is now fighting depression.

The Writers View:

How invigorating and refreshing it is to meet many faces and new people and to be familiar again with the old and the new people at the same time. Saorise Ronan connected the viewers to her soul the moment she appeared on the big screen. She is still remarkable as ever without any question, and she is one of the top actresses during her generation. Laurie Metcalf has an exceptional support of being the determined mother here, while Lucas Hedges, giving the most moving, and truthful moments of the movie and permitting Saorise Ronan to provide the viewers a masterful class of empathy.
